WHAT: Opera Atelier presents Gluck’s Orpheus and Eurydice. Created for Marie Antoinette and the most discriminating audience in Europe, Orpheus et Eurydice remains the greatest love story in the operatic canon.

Gluck’s reform opera/ballet will star Canadian tenor Colin Ainsworth as Orpheus - a role he first sang for Opera Atelier in 2007. The stunning production will also include company favorite, soprano Mireille Asselin as Eurydice and soprano Anna-Julia David, who makes her company debut as Amour.

WHAT: The Chopin Singing Society presents its 124th Anniversary Concert, ‘Songs of Yesterday and Today,’ a concert filled with Polish pride. We present this collection of traditional songs and folksongs, because they support and reflect Polish heritage.

Concert Honoree: Adrienne Tworek-Gryta, lyric coloratura soprano. Guest soloists: Valerian Ruminski, bass, and Melanie Bebak, piano. Guest director: Dr. Brad Wingert, Phd.

WHAT: St. Louis Choir to Perform At St. Margaret Church. The Choir of St. Louis Church will present 'A Choral Evening;' featured will be works of Bach, Mozart, Farrant, Ouseley, Friedel, Poston and others. The concert is offered in celebration of the formation of the North Buffalo Family of Parishes.

WHAT: ‘Serenata Italiana: A Lume di Candela.’  Back by popular demand, surrounded by candlelight, Italian-Canadian tenor Giacomo Folinazzo with special guest, classically trained soprano Maria Vetere perform a repertoire of canzoni, arias, duets, and popular songs in English and Italian.

 

Accompanied by the warm tone of a cello and the timeless sound of the piano, Folinazzo and Vetere lend their highly distinctive voices, passion, and versatility to this acoustic concert, awarding the audience with a unique intimate acoustic experience like no other.
